Portrait of Tomáš Čejka

Tomáš Čejka

doc. Ing. Tomáš Čejka, Ph.D.

I work on network security and high-speed network traffic monitoring. My research focuses on anomaly detection and machine learning for traffic analysis, in particular:

  • classification of encrypted traffic (TLS, QUIC, DNS over HTTPS),
  • time-series analysis of network behavior,
  • large open datasets captured on backbone networks.

At FIT CTU, I teach courses on hardware-accelerated network traffic monitoring and on network communication. I have supervised more than 50 bachelor's and master's theses, and five of my Ph.D. students have successfully defended their dissertations.

  • Network security
  • Anomaly detection
  • Traffic monitoring
  • Encrypted traffic classification
  • Machine learning
  • Large language models
